My name (Doll-in-chuck) comes from my family’s rich Ukrainian-Canadian heritage. I come from a loud and proud family of lawyers and administrators who prepped me well in public speaking. As a kid, my mom would take me to the Guthrie Theater to rush Shakespeare tickets - which began my childhood dream to become the first seven year old to play Hamlet.
Growing up, I moved every two or so years to various countries for my father’s job. I spent my teenage years living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Moscow, Russia before eventually settling in Minneapolis to finish out high school where I made my professional debut as Ilse in Spring Awakening at The Lab Theater.
I graduated from Oklahoma City University with my B.M in Musical Theater. Shortly after moving to New York, I got to make my television debut on The CW and began rehearsals for my Off Broadway debut - happening in early 2025.
My favorite art to pursue and create are grounded, complicated, poetic worlds derived from folk and country music. I love playing strong, gritty female characters with an earthy, profound vibe. I’m inspired by works that challenge audience’s perspectives while always bringing something new to the table - and I love original works.
Besides performing, I spend my time working as a bridal consultant and an usher for the Metropolitan opera. I enjoy reading (my favorite author is Ann Patchett) and spending time with my rescue cat, Theo.
