My name (Doll-in-chuck) comes from my family’s rick Ukrainian-Canadian heritage. I come from a loud and proud family of lawyers, nurses and administrators who taught me to always speak my mind and to lead with confidence, kindness and passion. As a kid, my mom and I frequented the Guthrie Theater to rush Shakespeare tickets - which began my childhood dream to become the first seven year old to play Hamlet.
Growing up, I moved every two or so years to various countries for my father’s job. I spent my teenage years living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Moscow, Russia before eventually settling back in Minneapolis. There, I would make my professional debut as Ilse in Spring Awakening at The Lab Theater - and perform in various MN based institutions.
I graduated from Oklahoma City University with my B.M in Musical Theater. Shortly after moving to New York, I made my Off Broadway debut in Local Singles (a new musical) and my television debut on The CW.
My favorite art to pursue and create are grounded, complicated, poetic worlds derived from folk and country music. I love playing strong, gritty female characters with an earthy, profound vibe. I’m inspired by works that challenge audience’s perspectives while always bringing something new to the table - and I love original works.
Besides performing, I currently work as an usher for The Metropolitan Opera, and previously worked as a bridal consultant in the Garment District. I’m a big fan of horror movies, pen paling and fish and chips. I’m a frequent NYFF goer and my favorite place I’ve visited is Amsterdam!
